Important registration notice to players that plan to tryout for the SAHS boys and girls basketball teams in November: Please remember that in order to avoid a late fee, players trying out for a high school team must register for SHYBA during the open registration period.  Refunds will be given in the event the player makes the high school JV or Varsity teams.

  • Refund Policy
    • All requests for refunds must go to the SHYBA Vice President (our registration coordinator), Thom Moll (, who will then review the request on a case by case basis and approve or not approve based on the criteria below.  The refund will be given through the online payment system back to the credit card, or by check upon request.

The SHYBA refund policy is the following:

      • 100%   if youth withdrawals prior to coaches draft
      • 100%   if youth withdrawals prior to first practice, if a replacement player is available.
      • 100%   if injured prior to start of regular season

No refunds are given in the following cases:

      • No refund is given if player tries out for a SHYBA travel team, and doesn’t make it, and elects not to play in intramural league.
        • SHYBA strongly encourages the player to participate in the intramural league.  The reason for no refund is that SHYBA plans and commits to league counts based on enrollment and if the player backs out, the org is left to pay league fees that need to be covered for that spot.
      • No refund is given if the request is received after the draft
      • No refund is given if the request is received after the first practice
